Hydronic heating systems use heated water circulated through pipes to radiators, baseboards, or in-floor tubing to provide heat throughout the home.
• Boiler unit and visible system components
• Circulating pumps, expansion tank, and pressure relief valve where accessible
• Visible piping and distribution lines
• Radiators, baseboard units, or other heat emitters
• Signs of leaks, corrosion, or improper installation
• General operating condition when safely operated using normal controls
The hydronic heating inspection is visual and non-invasive and does not include:
• Disassembly of system components
• Internal boiler inspection
• Combustion analysis or pressure testing
• Determining system efficiency or remaining service life
• Evaluation of concealed piping
If the system cannot be safely operated or accessed, this will be noted in the inspection report.
