Steam Heating System Inspection

Steam heating systems generate steam in a boiler and distribute it through pipes to radiators where heat is released into living spaces.

What We Inspect

• Steam boiler and visible safety controls
• Visible piping and radiator connections
• Radiators and distribution components
• Pressure controls and relief valves where accessible
• Signs of leaks, corrosion, or improper modifications
• General operating response when safely operated using normal controls

Important Limitations

The steam heating inspection is visual and non-invasive and does not include:

• Internal boiler or flue inspections
• System balancing or pressure testing
• Combustion efficiency evaluation
• Disassembly of piping or radiator components
• Determining remaining system lifespan

If the system is unsafe to operate or inaccessible, this will be documented in the inspection report.
