Walls & Ceilings Inspection

As part of the home inspection, we perform a visual evaluation of the home’s interior walls and ceilings in accordance with the New Jersey Home Inspection Standards of Practice (NJAC 13:40-15).

What We Inspect

• Visible wall and ceiling surfaces for cracks, stains, or damage
• Signs of moisture intrusion, water staining, or deterioration
• Evidence of settlement, structural movement, or material defects where observable
• Interior finishes and general condition
• Areas around windows, doors, and penetrations for visible concerns

The inspection is limited to readily accessible areas without moving furniture or stored items.

Important Limitations

The walls and ceilings inspection is visual and non-invasive and does not include:

• Opening finished surfaces
• Inspecting concealed framing or insulation
• Moisture testing unless ancillary services are requested
• Structural engineering analysis
