What We Inspect
• Siding materials (vinyl, aluminum, wood, brick, stucco, fiber cement, composite, etc.)
• Visible cracking, warping, loose panels, rot, or deterioration
• Trim, fascia, soffits, and exterior finishing materials
• Flashing around doors, windows, and penetrations where visible
• Signs of moisture intrusion, staining, or improper drainage
• Gaps or openings that may allow pest entry
Purpose
To identify visible defects or installation concerns that may impact weather resistance, durability, or safety.
General Exterior Inspection Limitations
The exterior inspection is:
- Visual and non-invasive
- Limited to readily accessible areas
- Conducted under safe conditions
- Not a guarantee of future performanceAreas that are unsafe, obstructed, or inaccessible will be documented in the inspection report.
- The inspection does not include moisture meter testing, removal of siding materials, or evaluation of concealed framing or sheathing.
